Listen up Martha&Rose haters!

My main irritation right now is those people who constantly write reunion fics or turn Rose immortal/into a TimeLady. I liked Rose. She was cool. She saved the world and the Doctor loved her. But she is GONE. ( And if RTD wasn't an idiot she would never be coming back.) Get over it already! And stop insulting Martha just to show how great you think Rose is! Just because Martha isn't Rose DOESN'T mean she's a brain dead scream-queen bitch who can't tie her own shoelaces. Helloo.. lazy writing!

Where were you people when Martha was single-handedly saving the world from the Master while the Doctor was stuck in his parrot cage! Or saving The Doctor from the Family in 1913! Or working in a shop in 1969 to support him! (That can't have been fun considering how racist people were then.) EMPATHISE with the fact that she's in love with an incredible guy who does not, in fact, love her back and actually treats her rather badly. Haven't we all been there? At least Martha had the courage to tell the Doctor where he could stick it!

Similarly I have no patience for people who insult Rose just to show how much they like Martha. EMPATHISE with Rose too. Despite the fact that the Doctor loved her, Rose never even got a decent kiss out of the guy.( The one on New Earth does not count 'cause she was possesed when it happened.) And the Doctor didn't even have the cop-on to say 'I love you' to her before the hole between universes closed. (Bloody idiot.)To my mind both characters were equally good. Martha just seems to have a lot more immature people bashing her.

If you can't get over your unreasonable childish hatred think about this: You are arguing over TV characters. There is no need to be rude/abusive to someone regarding their opinion over characters on a SCIENCE-FICTION TV SHOW. Get over yourselves!

Hmm...Maybe I should write a fic where Martha and Rose leave the Doctor to save the world while they go to the pub to have a drink and compare 'Doctor stories' with Sarah Jane and Capt. Jack...one day...maybe..

well, im abit of a Martha hater, but how can anyone hate ROSE?! thats awful! i LOVE Rose! she was the best companion!

Some people think Rose comes across as a TOO perfect person, and it annoys them. I never understood that. Rose never seemed perfect to me. (i.e. the way she treated Mickey) But I do like her.She's got flaws and that makes her more REAL. I can relate to her BECAUSE she isn't absolutely brilliant at flipping everything.

she was not perfect! thats what made me like her so much! yah. what you said about how she treated Mickey....so true. if being like Rose is achieving perfectism, then i havnt got far to go! ^^

I just hopped here via the comment you gave on my Martha-fanart.

I must say, that I wholeheartedly agree with you on everything! It's childish to bash a character just because you don't like him/her (a lot of fandoms have that problem, though). I have read some pretty awful stuff about Martha on fanfiction.net which wanted me to bash some holes into the wall!
I'm not much of a Rose-fan myself, though(somehow I just can't really relate to her), but I'd never go as far as to say I hate her, it IS just something on TV and everybody has a different opinion on it, I wouldn't want to step on someone's toes because of it.

More people should realize that, really!

(I also agree that bringing back Rose was a really stupid move from RTD, it was good the way it was!)

Hell yeah! The Martha-hating on fanfiction.net sometimes verges on INSANE. It's nuts. The abuse some people throw at pro-Martha fics over there occasionally borders on racist. For god's sake she's a TV character!

Thank god there are sane people like ourselves around
